The Century

Model 100, 100A, and 100B

 

The “Century” was the first of the non-sidewinder reels put out by Johnson. It was first introduced in 1955, and continues in various forms today. The first patent (#2862679) was filed on Dec. 6, 1955 and issued on Dec. 2, 1958. There are 3 basic models with 48 recognized variants.
